With Kawhi Leonard going home to LA, him and PG (Paul George) have balanced the league out a little. This years NBA free agency period saw a lot of changes. Kemba Walker going to the Celtics, Durant and Irving teaming up in Brooklyn. Mike Conley now made the Jazz a three headed monster in the East. Westbrook just got traded to houston for Chris Paul. Last and definitely not least, Lebron and Magic making another big 3 team with the Lakers. There's no doubt that with the addition of Davis and Cousins to the Lakers, it will make them an instant power house. But what everyone didn't see coming was the Clippers making a record-breaking trade to OKC grabbing Paul George for 5 1st RD picks. And then announcing they have signed Kawhi close to the same time.
There's no doubt in my mind Kawhi and George will not disappoint in LA. I also think this will be great for the organization seeing as they've not had the greatest history. Maybe that was a big sell for Kawhi, not only getting to play at home with one his friends. But also being able to begin a new era for the Clippers. Being able to bring the excitement that he did in Toronto, to his hometown. Me being a Raps fans will certainly miss him, but i can't be mad at him for not staying. He gave us as fans, the city of Toronto and this country his all. I can only hope for him to continue to rise as one of the best players in history and makes another city feel the way he made us feel. On top of the world.
The NBA is so spread out this year, it's going to be exciting! I didn't even mention that Jimmy Butler signed with the Heat, which was a very weird signing to say the least. But I believe Kawhi will get you some chips LA, hopefully with lots of dip too. Enjoy the time you have with him, show him love and I'm sure he and PG will come through for you.
